The video, film and theatre maker Frank Theys was born in 1963 in Brussels. There he studied Philosophy and Fine Arts. Since 1986 he presents his work in international group and solo exhibitions in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, USA, Russia, Yugoslavia, Poland, Spain. Theys has been honoured with several international awards, e.g. in 2005 with the Bogdanka Poznanovic Award for 'Self-Portrait' as best installation at the 9th International Video and New Media Festival, Novi Sad, Serbia.
