Fran Ilich, born in 1975, was the director of Cinemátik 1.0 (the first cyber culture festival in Latin America) and worked as coordinator for various film festivals in Latin America. In his novel Metro-Pop (Ediciones SM) and as an author, film-maker and programmer he deals with cyber culture and pleads for a suggestive and critical use of software and Internet in society and education. He lives in Mexico City.
