Miriam Mlecek lives and works in Sydney and Berlin. Graduated in Architecture at the University of Arts, Berlin, she also attended the lessons of Rebecca Horn. After working at Alsop&Störmer in Hamburg, at the EXPO 2000 and conducting several workshop, she actually works at the studio of Alexander Tzannes in Sydney. Apart from architecture, her interests include video, installation and sound. Here artworks were presented at the Tin Sheds Gallery Sydney, the blank-space Gallery Sydney, the Galerie NAKT in Berlin and the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg Festival 2006. In 2005 she founded the 'transitlounge', of which she is director and curator.
