Regina Bittner, born 1962 in Freiberg/Saxony, studied cultural studies and history of art at the Karl-Marx-University Leipzig. Since 1992 she works as a research fellow at the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau. She conducts projects such as 'Internationales Bauhaus Kolleg Event City 2000/2001'. Furthermore, she published largely, e.g. 'Urbane Paradiese' and 'Die Stadt als Event'. Her main topics are transformation research in Eastern Germany, history of architecture, cultural theory of urban amusement as well as city and experience society.
