Tim Edler studied IT and architecture at the Technische Universität Berlin and graduated in architecture in 1994. From 1994 to 1997 Tim Edler worked for various architectural firms, in 1996 becoming a founding member of [kunst und technik], the Berlin-based creative collective.
In 2000, with his brother Jan Edler, he set up the successful art and architecture firm realities:united in Berlin. The brothers’ creative work has been honoured with a variety of architectural awards such as the Deutsche Telekom ‘Inspire!Award’ and the ‘Gold Pin’ (Goldener Nagel), the highest award from the Art Directors Club.
Alongside his work with realities:united, Tim Edler has taught at various institutes such as the Bauhaus Dessau and the Pasadena Art Center College in Los Angeles.
