Florian Rötzer, born 1953, studied philosophy, psychology and education sciences. Afterwards he worked in Munich as freelance author and publicist with main focus on aesthetics and media theory. Since 1996 he is chief editor of the online magazine Telepolis and publisher of the Telepolis book series at Heise Publishing.
