club transmediale - CTM

club transmediale CTM realises a festival lasting several days which is held simultaneously with the transmediale festival. Its aim is to present the most outstanding international productions in electronic music and audiovisual performance as well as to reflect recent artistic and technical developments in panels, screenings and artist presentations.

club transmediale converts the idea of the "club" into a physical space whose uniqueness lies in its relative non-definition, giving a wide scope for the interplay of divergent media, formats and artistic approaches.

This year club transmediale enters its eighth round: for ten days concerts,  club-sets, AV-performances, installations, screenings and debates will throw light on current issues around music brewed and bubbling in the zones of convergence between weird underground, left-field music, radical Noise, media culture, improv, new music, visual arts and club sounds. Under this year’s motto, Building Space, the main program of CTM.07 will investigate how music and the interplay of sound and moving images can open up room for new experiences and perception – thus
the focus is on imaginary, cultural, political and social spaces and the ways they overlap.
