Eva Lichtenberger was born 1954 at Zams, Austria. After finishing her studies of psychologie, history of art and political science she started her political career as deputy of the Green party in the Parliament. 1999-2004 she was member of the National Council and since 2004 she is in the European Parliament. As member of the transport and tourism committee as well as substitute member of the committee of legal affairs she is dealing with issues of software patents and service principles.
Eva Lichtenberg engagiert sich für Open Source Software und ist Mitglied der Initiative OPEN MIND - OPEN SOURCE - OPEN EUROPE.
