The architect and hard/software art researcher Sandro Canavezzi has been concerned about philosophical and technological implications of so-called 'New Media' interfaces concerning the interactivity process. His Post-Graduation dissertation in New Media at the University of Sao Paulo, 2000, entitled 'Membrane X Schnitstelle' connects topics like quantum mechanics and relativity to artificial intelligence and cognitive sciences in order to expand the references and paradigms for the understanding of the interaction phenomenon. In 2001 he received a grant from the Brazilian Government's Capes Foundation to realise his research project 'M(n)EMO' as an artist in residence at Podewil, Berlin. He received another grant in 2003 from the Daniel Langlois Foundation to develop the project 'VOID', a stereo-endoscopy into a black-box. 'VOID' is also supported by the V2_Lab.
